Kerry grew up mustering and campdrafting, the kind of country upbringing that instils a deep respect for horses and hard work. James, on the other hand, hails from Cornwall in the United Kingdom, where his father and grandfather worked with Shires on farms and in ploughing teams. Horses are in his blood, and together the pair have built something truly special in Rosedale Carriages – a blend of country heart and heritage tradition.
Their exquisite Landau, one of the most unique in the country, is drawn by Roxanne and Rhonda, two stunning Friesian x warmblood sisters they travelled all the way to Melbourne to bring home. The pair now form the heart of their operation, known not only for their striking looks but for their gentle nature and impeccable manners on the job.
Rosedale Carriages offers transport for weddings, formals, and events within Toowoomba & surrounds, adding an unforgettable touch of grace and romance to any occasion. For Kerry, though, it’s not just about the presentation – it’s about the emotion behind it. She recalls one wedding where a groom had secretly arranged the carriage as a surprise for his bride. “She thought she was heading to the ceremony on a tractor,” Kerry laughed, “and when the horses pulled up, she burst into tears. It was such a beautiful, emotional moment. That’s what makes it all worth it.”
