Breaking the Silence Around Bullying: Join the Movement on Do It For Dolly Day

Australian Performance Horse Magazine

At Dolly’s Dream, we believe no child, young person, parent, or carer should ever feel alone. We exist to break the silence around bullying and build a world where kindness leads the way.

Dolly’s Dream was founded by Kate and Tick Everett in memory of their daughter, Dolly, who tragically took her own life at just 14 after relentless bullying. What began as a family’s response to unimaginable loss has grown into a national movement for change, one that empowers young people to speak up, even if their voice shakes.

“This is a movement we wish we never had to start, but now we won’t stop until the bullying stops.”

-Kate & Tick Everett

We work across Australia, especially in rural, regional, and remote communities, to educate, support, and protect children and families. Through our 24/7 free bullying support line, school workshops, mental health first aid training, and online safety tools like our Beacon Cyber Safety App, we’re creating safer spaces where children and young people can thrive.

But we can’t do it alone.

Do It For Dolly Day – Go Blue to End Bullying

Every May, we encourage Australians to come together on Do It For Dolly Day, a national day of kindness, courage, and action. It’s a time to wear blue, start conversations, and raise awareness about the devastating impact of bullying.

This day is more than a symbol; it’s a call to action. By getting involved, you help us deliver life-changing programs and support services to families across the country. Whether you host a fundraiser, organise a school event, or simply wear blue and donate a gold coin, your participation helps spread the message that kindness matters, and no one should face bullying alone.

Your Support Saves Lives

Every donation helps us continue Dolly’s legacy, one of hope, strength, and compassion. Your support allows us to reach more communities, train more educators, and protect more young people from the harmful effects of bullying.

Get involved. Go blue. Do it for Dolly.

In 2026, Australian Performance Horse Magazine is proud to be partnering with Dolly’s Dream to showcase community efforts. Any of our stallion packages booked during the month of May will include a donation, and our front cover of our 2026 Stallion Yearbook will be auctioned to raise funds.
